Most people when they hear the name Cochise Stud, jump to the wrong conclusion about the name. Sure Cochise was a Chirchva Apache native American. But Cochise Stud was named after a horse John Wayne rode in the film El Dorado. The name of the Appaloosa horse was "Zip Cochise" |
